£10 to each official London marathon fundrunner for their charities!

With my son Adam and daughter Chloe!

The tough but correct decision.

It's such a shame that the London marathon has been postponed until later this year.
I manage the NSPCC Soft Tissue team for the London marathon and I have also run 3 marathons raising money for ChildLine, so I know all too well how much the charities rely on the income generated from this event, which is the largest annual single day fundraising event in the world and unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will be on later in the year although fingers crossed it will!
With this is mind, I would like to support the Oxfordshire based London marathon official charity fundraisers by donating £10 to their charities for every full priced treatment they have with me, right up to the day of the race (or announcement of cancellation, but hopefully not).
All you need to do is bring proof of your official charity place with you and right at the end of your treatment I will pay £10 to your charity straight away, so that your charity receive their money now when they need it the most, it's a simple as that!
This is for new and regular clients and starts now, so it's a great way of maintaining your training in the healthiest condition possible, whilst supporting your charity during this tough time!

London & Brighton marathons postponed.

London marathon NSPCC Soft Tissue team

The tough but correct decision.

I have been the manager of the NSPCC Soft Tissue teams for the past 8 years supervising the 30 therapists at the London marathon post race reception for the NSPCC fund raisers and also for the Brighton marathon too, and it's so sad to see these great events postponed due to the current health concerns.

This is such a shame for all those who have trained so hard for these events, but it is obviously the correct decision as these events can be run later in the year.

I would like to thank all those who had volunteered for the NSPCC Soft Tissue teams for these marathons, and I hope that everyone stays safe and healthy and I look forward to seeing everyone later in the year.

My clinic in Headington remains open, and I am continuing to take every precaution with cleanliness, as I always have, to ensure the most professional environment available for my clients.

2019 NSPCC Gherkin Challenge

You need a head for heights!

The Gherkin Building

The 2019 NSPCC Gherkin Challenge

On Sunday I enjoyed managing the NSPCC Soft Tissue team for my 7th Gherkin Challenge and as you can see from the photo you need a steady head for heights to work on the 40th floor of the exclusive Gherkin building in London.

My team of 11 fantastic therapists treated just under 200 fundraisers who have run, walked or pulled themselves up the stair bannister of the 1030 steps of the Gherkin building to raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity.

It is always a fun event and the sports massages received at the top of the building were very welcome and much appreciated, followed by a nice glass of champagne.

This year I enjoyed recruiting & managing the NSPCC Soft Tissue teams for the London marathon and Gherkin Challenge for the 7th consecutive year and I am already looking forward to next years events.

Supporting Kiboi Primary School, Kenya

Next shipment ready to go!

Together with Jonah Chesum at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Proudly wearing Oxford City FC kit for both pupils and teachers.

Putting the kit and footballs to good use!

I am very fortunate to be able to support the children of Kiboi Primary school, Kenya with another donation of sports equipment.

My link with the school came via a friendship I made with Kenyan athlete Jonah Chesum during my time working as part of the medical team at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Since 2012 I have provided football kit for the boys and girls (shown in the photo), sports equipment including balls, bibs and cones but today's package is one of fun equipment including frisbees, balls and skipping ropes to allow the children some much needed fun time playing outdoors!
